Tugboat and fireboat Bambi 16.58 with ES-TRIN
Vision Doeve Brokers
A special combination of a tugboat, fireboat and icebreaker with a beautiful history. The ship was built at Rijkswerf Willemsoord in NL-Den Helder for the purpose of towing Navy ships, acting as an icebreaker around Den Helder and being used by the Navy as a fire boat. She carried out this work under the name 'Y8016' until 1990. The extinguishing cannon can still be used to this day. A Kromhout diesel engine is used for this purpose. The boat is equipped with a double bed, galley and bathroom with electric toilet and shower. The gas system has been disconnected but can be connected again if necessary. In consultation with the port manager, it is possible to live on board. An unique opportunity to live on such a boat in the center of Rotterdam.
