Vision Doeve Brokers

The three-masted clipper the “Oostvogel” was built in 1898 as a tow clipper for freight shipping between Rotterdam and Antwerp. In the 1960s the ship was taken out of service and used as a houseboat. In 1992, the “Oostvogel” was restored and converted into a successful sailing passenger ship. Due to circumstances, the vessel is in a somewhat poor state of maintenance, but in our opinion she is more than worth being put in action again. The buyer must have the rigging inspection carried out again if he wishes to charter professionally and sailing again. When determining the asking price, it was taken into account that the buyer still has to invest a substantial amount for the rigging. Equipped with a young CCRII Doosan engine, whisper generator, central heating system, hydraulic bow thruster, steel masts, spacious salon, spacious bar, toilets and showers, 9 guest cabins with a total of 24 berths, spacious aft cabin for the owner/crew and so on. In our view, an interesting ship for charter that also can be used as a sailing houseboat which is worth bringing her back up to shape.
