Proficiat

Proficiat Yachts is a shipyard that was established in the Frisian Bartlehiem and later in Westergeest. The yard was best known for her motor yachts, which are of excellent quality and belong to the top of the Dutch yacht building industry.

The history of Proficiat Yachts goes back to 1969 when founders Chris de Tree and Pieter de Groot Wicabo shipyard started and building motor yachts. In the 1980s and 1990s, the company expanded. The yachts built by Proficiat Yachts are known for their excellent sailing characteristics, comfort and quality. Over the years, the yard has marketed various models, including the Proficiat 11.20, 12.50, 13.50 and 14.50. These yachts are especially popular with water sports enthusiasts who are looking for a spacious and comfortable boat to stay on for a longer period of time.

Unfortunately, Proficiat Yachts went bankrupt in 2009, but there was a restart on September 26, 2009 when Proficiat Yachts and Heechvlet merged into the Dutch Yachting Group. The new company was located in Jirnsum, where Heechvlet was already located. Unfortunately, the Dutch Yachting Group was not successful and in July 2012 the Russian owner filed for bankruptcy for Dutch Yachting Group.
