Etap

Etap Yachting was founded in 1970 by Norbert Joris and originally manufactured lighting, aluminum, and fiberglass products before specializing in the production of unsinkable sailing yachts. The company is headquartered and operates her production facilities in the West Flemish town of Malle, in the north of Belgium.

Over the past few decades, Etap Yachting has developed a number of innovative technologies to ensure the unsinkability of their sailing yachts. The boats are built with a foam core sandwiched between two layers of fiberglass-reinforced polyester, making them unsinkable even if they become fully flooded with water. This technology has earned Etap Yachting a reputation as one of the safest and most reliable yacht builders in the world.

The company produces a wide range of sailing yachts, ranging from 20 to 48 feet, suitable for both cruising and racing. Etap Yachting has also produced a number of popular models, including the Etap 22, 26, 28, 32, and 37.

In addition to their unsinkability technology, Etap Yachting is also known for their innovative designs and high-quality construction, resulting in excellent sailing performance, comfort, and reliability.

After nearly 40 years of being active in yacht building, Etap Yachting faced financial difficulties and was acquired by German company Dehler in 2008, only to be declared bankrupt herself, along with Etap Yachting, less than a year later.
